- Maryland Judicial System:
The State of Maryland's portal to all Maryland court systems four levels: two trial courts and two appellate courts. The trial courts consider evidence presented in a case and make judgments based on the facts, the law and legal precedent (prior legal decisions from higher courts). My Sister's Place Women's Center provides women with improved health, sustainable housing, and community integration. Families That Work is a program through My Sister's Place that helps these women earn their GED, and this was particularly impressive to Portner & Shure. This fiscal year five women, from Baltimore, have passed the GED exam and 37 secured employment.
